Today, Belarusians in the United States and worldwide celebrate the 108th Anniversary of the Belarusian Democratic Republic. On March 25, 1918, a council of representatives from political and religious organizations across Belarus proclaimed a sovereign and free nation that established the first precedent of Belarusian nationhood.
